Finnish nature

I'm not a person who enjoys living on the countryside that much, but one thing I love is visiting our summer island. Crystal clear water, warm summer wind and rock under your feet which still has it's reminders from the ice age.

Taking this picture was a little uncomfortable and probably looked really funny. I tried to take the picture with a long shutter speed to make the water look soft. I didn't have my tripod with me so I had to rest my elbows on the ground. It was really sunny and I don't own a dark filter for my lens so this experiment was more of a fail. Plus, I don't know how many times my feet got wet since the rock was really slippery.

Overall I really enjoyed this one day trip to the archipelago!

Hello!

My name is Nina and I am a 15-year-old girl from Finland. This blog is something I created for fun, nothing too serious. Art is something I've always loved, photography came along later. Regardless, I want to experiment and get better at both forms of self-expression.

I draw with graphite pencils in a Fabriano ecological drawing block with a paper thickness of 120g/m^3. My paintings are done in acrylics, most of them are Van Gogh. I use some semi cheap brushes and random canvases from my local bookstore.

All my pictures are taken with Canon EOS 70D, witch is the reason I only have one lens, Canon 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 STM.

And last some of my favorite pieces through the years.
